NEK9 is a critical component of the replication stress response that promotes CHK1 activity maintaining genome integrity following challenges to DNA replication.
Knockdown of Nek9 also impaired the spindle-pole localization of gamma-tubulin and resulted in retention of the spindle assembly checkpoint protein Bub3 at the kinetochores.
