Function
function
Isoform 2 dephosphorylates phosphorylated phytochromes, with a preference toward Pfr forms, and enhances phytochrome-mediated photoresponses (By similarity).
Can use para-nitrophenylphosphate (pNPP) and phosphorylated casein as substrate at pH 7.5 and 5.0
Can use para-nitrophenylphosphate (pNPP) and phosphorylated casein as substrate at pH 7.5 and 5.0
Catalytic activity
- H2O + O-phospho-L-seryl-[protein] = L-seryl-[protein] + phosphate
Cofactor
Note: Binds 2 manganese ions per subunit.
Activity regulation
Activated by linoleic acid, linolenic acid, oleic acid, and arachidonic acid (AA).
