Expression

Tissue specificity

Expressed in laminar and nuclear structures of the CNS.

Developmental stage

First detected at 9.5 dpc in the neural tube. Expressed at early stages of development in the isthmus and in metencephalic and mesencephalic roof plates. At later stages of development, it is expressed in structures corresponding to circumventricular organs which in adult control the production of the cerebrospinal fluid.
