Q6PH37 · ST1S1_DANRE

Function

function

Sulfotransferase that utilizes 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sulfate (PAPS) as sulfonate donor to catalyze the sulfate conjugation of a variety of xenobiotic and endogenous compounds, including 2-naphthol, hydroxychlorobiphenyls, dopamine and T3 (triiodo-L-thyronine).

Activity regulation

Inhibited by Co2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Pb2+ ions. Inactivated by Hg2+ and Cu2+ ions.

pH Dependence

Optimum pH is 6.0-9.0.

Temperature Dependence

Thermostable from 20 to 43 degrees Celsius.
