Function

function

Hydroxycinnamoyl transferase that catalyzes in vitro the transfer of an acyl from p-coumaryol-CoA to glycerol or shikimate, to produce 2-O-p-coumaroyl glyceride or coumaroyl shikimate, respectively. Quercetin, glutarate, or malate do not serve as acyl acceptors in vitro. Can use feruloyl-CoA and caffeoyl-CoA as acyl donors.
