function
Acts as a methyl group carrier in the anaerobic acetyl-CoA pathway (Wood-Ljungdahl pathway) of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide fixation. Binds the corrinoid 5-methoxybenzimidazolylcobamide which is then methylated by the AcsE subunit (PubMed:2821001).
