Function

function

Probable transcription factor required for the initiation of inflorescence trichomes in response to gibberellin and cytokinin. Is not involved in the regulation of trichome branching. Is functionally equivalent to GIS2 (PubMed:17507408).
Acts as a negative regulator of abscisic acid (ABA) signaling during germination and early seedling development (PubMed:24808098).

Miscellaneous

Seeds over-expressing ZFP8 show decreased sensitivity to inhibition of germination by abscisic acid (ABA).
