Induction
The zygotic transcript but not the maternal transcript is moderately induced by forskolin and tetradecanoyl phorbol acetate.
Developmental stage
Expressed both maternally and zygotically. Present throughout the preblastoderm and remains at a high level during syncytial divisions. From cellularization, expression decreases and at cellular blastoderm maternal expression has nearly completely disappeared.
