Function

function

Snake venom metalloproteinase

Impairs hemostasis in the envenomed animal.

Disintegrin trigramin-alpha

Inhibits platelet aggregation induced by ADP, thrombin, platelet-activating factor and collagen. Acts by inhibiting fibrinogen interaction with platelet receptors GPIIb/GPIIIa (ITGA2B/ITGB3).

Miscellaneous

The disintegrin belongs to the medium disintegrin subfamily.

Cofactor

Zn2+ (UniProtKB | Rhea| CHEBI:29105 )

Note: Binds 1 zinc ion per subunit.
