Keywords - Brugada syndrome (KW-0992)
- DefinitionProtein which, if defective, causes Brugada syndrome, a heart disease characterized by an electrocardiogram pattern showing ST segment elevation in right precordial leads (V1 to V3), incomplete or complete right bundle branch block, and ventricular tachyarrhythmia. In some cases, tachycardia does not terminate spontaneously and it may degenerate into ventricular fibrillation and lead to sudden death.
