Function

function

Inhibits contact coagulation pathway activation in the host by sequestering anionic polymers, such as dextran sulfate and heparin, and thus blocking interaction of protein components of the pathway with negatively charged surfaces (PubMed:24092749).
Inhibits dextran sulfate-mediated autoactivation of host coagulation factor XII (F12) (PubMed:24092749).
Inhibits dextran sulfate-mediated activation of host factor XI (F11) by activated F12 (PubMed:24092749).
Inhibits polyphosphate-induced plasma extravasation at the injection site in mouse model, probably via inhibition of bradykinin generation in host skin (PubMed:24092749).
